About Me

DSC00597.JPG

I am a multimedia artist living in beautiful NW Montana. I “paint” with wool by using a barbed needle to felt small bits of wool and silk into a solid (felt) backing. This medium is simultaneously painterly and sculptural. It is perfect for capturing the beauty and importance of the animals living in this region. My goal is to remind viewers of the responsibility we share to protect and conserve nature and wildlife.

My husband makes live-edged wood frames for my art. The wood beautifully complements the art. The art is protected by Tru Vue Optium Museum Quality Acrylic Glass. It is anti-reflective, anti-static, and 99% effective against UV rays.

My work is currently sold at Eric Thorsen's Gallery in Bigfork. I will also be at the Out West Art Show in Great Falls this March. My work has been featured in other galleries, including Paint, Metal, and Mud in Kalispell, the Bigfork Art and Cultural Center, Walking Man Frame Shop and Gallery, and at the Hockaday Museum (First Place People’s Choice Award Members' Salon). I teach an online felting course through Creative Spark with C & T Publishing.

Please reach out if you are interested in my current works of art or if you would enjoy having a special piece commissioned. In addition, I love sharing my passion for fiber arts with others. I offer several online classes and educational opportunities for guilds.
